Lisa Fritsch

Lisa Fritsch is a speaker, writer and social and political activist in Austin Texas. She ran in the Republican Primary for Governor of Texas in 2014. She finished second against Greg Abbott as a first time political candidate.
Before this run Lisa was a conservative talk radio show host, political pundit, and strategist. Appearances include Fox News Channel, CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News 7 where she was a regular contributor. Fritsch was a regular contributor to Breitbart, American Thinker, and other publications such as Town Hall, The Dallas Morning News, The Austin American Statesman, and other news publications across the country. She’s been featured and has appeared in The New York Times, The Huffington Post, World Net Daily, The Dallas Morning News, and BET online.
Fritsch began her conservative talk-radio career on 590KLBJ as a fill-in host for the The Morning Show in 2004. She also hosted for Jeff Ward, made appearances on the G. Gordon Liddy, and frequented talk shows across the nation as a political commentator.
In 2011 she published Obama Tea Parties and God which became a local best-seller after a talk at Austin’s Book People.
After the campaign Fritsch wrote, Politically Corrected, a reckoning of her conservative politics against her Christian values where she advises Christians to think different about their politics amid the call of Christ.
Fritsch is an advocate of the underrepresented. Founder of a non-profit, PHENOMENALISM.org to advance the voice of women of color. She is the creator of The Humility Project, a blog and podcast on the power of humility to bring happiness, healing, and foster healthy relationships.
== Early life ==
Fritsch is a 5th generation Texan born and raised in East Texas. On the campaign trail she spoke often of being raised by her single divorced mother who worked three jobs to avoid welfare and food stamps and who would wait to get her own advanced education in order to provide Lisa with the extracurricular and educational opportunities she needed to thrive. Fritsch went on to study at the University of Texas at Austin where she majored in Asian studies and studied abroad in Japan.
Lisa Fritsch is married to Michael Fritsch and is a mother of two.
